Holiday special edition: Christmas joy

For so many reasons this Christmas season is different, but we have still been able to do some of the things we love - cookies are happening because we all still need those in 2020 and not even a pandemic could get between us and getting a Christmas tree. It’s Isabelle’s first Christmas with her husband and Amanda has a baby. WHOA. So it only feels right to appreciate some of the simple things that bring us joy this time of year.

Christmas village

There is something so cozy about these tiny villages and setting them up each year!

Hot chocolate

Which is really a great vehicle for all kinds of flavors: s’mores, salted caramel, peppermint, Bailey’s… Not to mention hot chocolate + popcorn is seriously the best winter snack.

Baking all the things

Something about December means all the rules go out the window and you can have cookies for breakfast, lunch and dinner - am I right? Which is great because nothing feels better than baking on a cold winter day and *someone* has to eat all those treats… we’re a little slow going on the family Christmas cookies this year, but we’re making it happen this weekend!

Wishing you a merry Christmas and hope you have a wonderful time (in person or on a video chat) with family and friends!
